The Mayor of Republic of Moldova Capital, Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, stated on Sunday, in Iasi (east), where he took part in the events occasioned by the anniversary of 151 years since the Romanian Principalities Union, that Romania was and remains a loyal advocate of the Republic of Moldova in its process of accession to the European Union.

“I express my desire and hope – as the Principalities Union in 1859 made possible today’s Romania, the same, the events occurred 20 years ago and those in 2009 to pave the way for the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the EU. We do not need too many things to achieve that. We need democracy, efforts and European integration through investments and jobs.
